1. University Of Glasgow School of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology – Plant Science Group. The experimental work was conducted at the SAC (Scottish agricultural colege) facilities located in Aberdeen, Graibstone.

1999-2003  Glamorgan University School of Applied Science. There I completed the result analysis and obtained my PhD Thesis:  “Symbiotic relationships of Alnus glutinosa with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and with Frankia.” Supervisors: Dr J.E.Hooker and C.T. Wheeler+

My PhD studies were paused at the Glasgow university and SAC, due the move of my main supervisor Dr John Hooker. I moved along with him until the completion of my studies.

Scientific Interests

Physico-chemical properties of soils.  The effect of mycorrhizae on soil properties.  Effect of Mycorrhiza and other soil microorganisms on plant growth.

Isolation, identification, and growth in a host plant culture of native tuft-forming mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) species. The study and role of mycorrhizae in plant growth under stress conditions. The study of the role and isolation of native Frankia actinomycetes. Circulation of nutrients in forest ecosystems.

Soil restorations

The role of soil in controlling greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.  Development and architecture of the root system of plants under various soil conditions.  Development and architecture of the plant root system under the influence of symbiotic organisms, AMF Frankia..
