The aim of the course is to introduce students to the field of Informatics. Within the framework of the course, students become familiar with basic concepts of operating systems, as well as structured and visual programming.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
· identify the structure of operating systems and make effective use of their functions
· address memory management issues by utilizing the capabilities of operating systems
· use the file system of operating systems
· identify the basic data structures and the basic operations permitted for each structure
· use data search techniques
· develop programs in a graphical user interface environment driven by events.
